GENERAL INFORMATION
The hunting season in Namibia opens on February 1st and ends November 30th.
- Hunting permits are included in the Sandveld Price list.
Entry
- All visitors to Namibia must have a valid passport for at least six months after the date of entry. All visitors must also have a valid return ticket. In addition, all visitors must have a visa, except those nationalities with which Namibia has the necessary visa exemption agreement. Booking Policy
- To confirm a booking with Sandveld a completed Hunt Contract, agreed and signed Terms & Conditions document and a received 50% payment deposit based on the package value at the time of booking.
- Please plan your hunt carefully as deposits are non-refundable, however, they are transferable to the following year. The payment balance can be made either before or on completion of your hunt.
Payment
- Deposits can be made by bank transfer, or by credit card online through our website (credit card payments add 2.5% transaction fee) we cannot accept any form of cheque.
Travel
- Please book your flights to arrive in Windhoek - Hosea Kutako International Airport. THE DAY BEFORE YOUR HUNT STARTS. Stay the night in a hotel and we will collect you the following morning at 9am. This is the best way and eliminates any issues with delayed flights or late arrivals.

Insurance
- It is recommended to invest in comprehensive travel insurance.
Firearms
- We discourage importing firearms for your hunt; this is possible but not worth the hassle. We have very good firearms and optics available at Sandveld for hire at a very reasonable rate for the duration of your hunt.
Physical Ability
- Hunting at Sandveld is very achievable for all physical capabilities. Our properties are well tracked and have excellent 4x4 access.
- Namibia electricity is 220 volt at the outlet. You will need a plug adaptor. We have hair dryers in all our rooms. Virtually all camera/video/laptop/cell phone rechargers are 110-240 volt compatible.
Terms & Conditions
Agreeing to the Sandveld terms and conditions is part of the Sandveld Hunt Contract and is required to confirm your booking.
Price
Prices are stated in United States Dollars (USD) and include the Namibian Government, Tax (VAT).
Payment
Accepted forms of payment include bank wire transfer – or credit card (2.5 % service fee for credit card payment)
Not accepted – personal cheque or traveller’s cheques Diners Club or Discover credit cards.
All trophies remain the property of Sandveld until the hunt balance is paid for in full.
Booking conformation
On accepting the Sandveld Terms and Conditions and completing the Hunt Contract a deposit of 50% of the agreed price is required to confirm the booking. A further 25% will be required 6 months out from the hunt date with the balance paid on completion. The full amount can be paid in advance of the hunt at the customers discretion. All our hunts are bespoke and any price variation between hunts will not be entered into.
Refund policy
Deposits and all payments made to Sandveld are non-refundable under any circumstances, however they are transferable to another date in the same year as the initial booking or to the following season subject to availability and price change if any.
Opportunity Clause
Every hunt must be paid for in full irrelevant of the outcome. Sandveld will deliver the opportunity, however, the success of the hunt ultimately comes down to the individual customer. Missed shot or no shot taken, a lost or wounded animal by either rifle or bow will incur the full payment agreed at the time of booking and signing the contract.
Included
All hunts are calculated on a per day basis. All accommodation and meals for the duration of your stay. The services of a professional hunting guide, field preparation, storage, and delivery to the expeditor of all trophies taken.
Not Included
International or domestic Airline tickets to Namibia, or any associated travel costs. Hotel accommodation before or after your hunt. Sightseeing or further tourist activities. The use of company firearms and ammunition. Trophy expediting service costs, including freight and licence fees. Services of external operators for additional services such as touring.
Insurance
Sandveld recommends customers invest in comprehensive travel insurance. Sandveld does not hold any insurance that will cover the loss or damage of your personal property at any time during your stay.
Liability
Your safety is our priority, Sandveld operates an accepted Health and Safety Management Plan.
Sandveld conducts this hunting guiding business in an outdoor environment, many hazards exist, both natural and human made. By signing these terms and conditions as part of the hunt contract, you / your group, are confirming that Sandveld have made you / your group aware of the hazards / potential hazards, both natural and human made when involved in an outdoor hunting activity and you are agreeing to participate.
It is the responsibility of the customer to notify Sandveld staff of medical conditions and / or physical limitations.
