THE KALAHARI

Namibia is on the southwest of the African continent and bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, Angola, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa. With a land area of 318,261 square miles, it is famous for its desert landscapes and diverse wildlife, Namibia is a hidden gem with one of the lowest population densities in the world.

Sandveld is within the Western Kalahari Desert and borders two communal wildlife conservancies, namely N#aJaqna wildlife conservancy in Bushmanland, and Otjituuo conservancy in Hereroland. Our lodge is a 3 hour vehicle drive north to the Okavango River which lies on the Namibian Angolan Border
